Exhaustsystems and working conditions
Better working conditions, cleaner environment, higher production
By drying processes is a good working exhaustsystem of great importance. The drying process itself becomes better and also faster which results for you in a higher production speed. Next to this is the result of direct extraction of the hot or polluted air, solvents and or surplus substances a better working environment and less pollution and wear of the machines.
We have a great range of standard exhaustsystems but we can also develope and deliver custom made installations. The exhaust will be designed for your machine and production process but also on what and how mush must be extracted.
Exhaustsystems for Sheet Offset
- Exhausthood placed on top of the delivery with powder collect filters
- Exhaustunit placed on the floor with cyclone filters and automatic cleaning
- Exhausthood on the top of the delivery without filters.
The systems with filters are speciale developed to extract the spray powder to reduce the pollution of the press and the environment. The exhaust capacity and the number of used filters depends on the papersize. The advantages are::
- a cleaner environment
- less wear to the press
- Lower maintenance costs
Other Exhaustsystems
Optional
Jac. de Vries Infraroodtechniek supplies next to the standard exhaust systems also the next optionals to improve the exhaust on your press.
- A frequence controller instead of a hand control valve for easy control of the air capacity and to save energy.
- Exhaustfans with high speed to increase the capacity.
- Exhausthoods on top of the delivery supplied with lifting pistons to turn the complete exhausthood upwards for maintenance and cleaning the press.
- Central exhaustsystems with exhausthoods placed on several presses and connected to one central placed exhasstfan.
Exhaustunit with cyclone filter and automatic cleaning
As an alternative for placing an exhausthood with exhaustfan on top of the delivery, we can offer you an exhaustunit which must be placed on the floor next to the press. On top of the delivery will be place a smaller hood that is connected by air duct to the exhaustunit. The exhaustfan with the cyclone filter, which is automatic cleaned at each startup, are placed inside the unit on the floor. The spray powder is collected at the bottom off the unit in a drawer or bag which must be made empty regular.
Exhaustsystem without filters for:
- Hot air
- Vapour (by drying water based coatings)
- Smell and solvents
Hot air is used for drying water based coating to evaporate the water out of the coating. For a good dry result the capacity of the exhaust depends of the amount of hot air that is used. For the best results there must be installed, besides the exhaust on top of the delivery, also an exhaust inside the press. This can be done in different ways, depending on the press type. The extracted air must always be led directly outside the buiding.
Some possibilities for exhaust f.e. for an extended delivery are:
- An exhaustunit placed below the gripper bars
- Replacement of the gripper bars by guiding plates provided with holes for air extraction
- Mounting of an exhaustbox or pipe above the mounted dryers in the extension
- A combination of the above mentioned possibilities
Edge exhaust for IR drying on web offset
The IR dryers from Jac. de Vries Infraroodtechniek are standard supplied with fans for cooling the IR panel. This air is blown towards the paper and flows with the paper to the environment behind the IR dryer. By placing an exhaustunit directly behind the IR dryer, the heated airflow with possible released vapors and/or solvents are extracted and can be led outside the building. The capcity depends of the width of the web.
Exhaust for industrial applications
Also by dryingsystems for industrial applications a lot of heated air, released vapors and/or solvents can come free. Also smells can be inconvenience so a good exhaust can be of great importance. The advantage of a good exhaust will be:
- A cleaner so a healtier working environment
- Less pollution so less wear to the machines
- Lower maintenance costs
- A better drying
