Drying of inks for Sheet Offset

Speed, reliability and productivity are the decisive factors for success in the printing industry of today. The natural drying of printing inks is one of the delays in this process.
By using infrared drying in combination with the special developed inks eliminates this delay.

IR dry systems from Jac. de Vries Infraroodtechniek for sheet offset take less built in space so we can install them in the delivery of almost all sheet offset presses.

Advantage of Jac. de Vries Infrareddryers

All the advantages of our IR dryers for sheet offset presses are shortly listed below:

  • Standard delivered with shortwave IR lamps so the IR can be used immediately at full power after it is switched on;
  • The IR lamps are also immediately cooled down after it is switched off, so no fire risk;
  • Integrated aircooling on the IR panels with optimal protection agains overheating;
  • Stepless power control of the iR lamps (handcontrol or automatic controlled by measuring the pile temperature);.
  • Average lifetime of the IR lamps switched on at full power is about 5000 uur. Because the IR output will be reduced most of the time by the stepless powercontrol, the average lifetime can be doubled;
  • Standard we place the IR lamps lengthwise to the paper direction and is it possible to change the drying width according to the papersize. In this way we make the IR dryer always the same size as the maximum papersize that you can run through your press;
  • Clear and easy to to use controlpanel
  • Modular built system, easy replacement of parts which all can be delivered from stock;
  • Solid and compact built units.
